Bolt's Adventures
Privacy Policy
The short version
We built Bolt's Adventures to be fun and safe. In plain language:
- There's no sign-up, login, or password — you never give us your real name, email, or phone number.
- Your player profiles and progress are saved on your device.
- We use privacy-friendly analytics to see how the game is played and to make it better.
- We show ads so the game can stay free — personalized only if you consent, otherwise non-personalized.
- We never sell your information.
The rest of this page explains the details.
1.Who we are
This Privacy Policy explains how Linus Holdings, LLC ("we," "us," or "our") handles information in connection with Bolt's Adventures — Quick Mental Brain Games (the "Game" or "App"), a speed-thinking puzzle game available on Android and iOS and any related web version.
By downloading or using the Game, you agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Game. If you have any questions, you can contact us at any time (see Contact us).
2.Information we collect
The Game is designed to work without an account and to collect as little information as possible. We handle three kinds of information:
a. Information you provide
When you set up a player profile, you choose a display name to label it. You can type anything you like — it is meant to be a nickname, not your real identity, and we ask that you do not enter real names or other personal details. This display name is stored on your device. We do not send the name itself to our analytics provider; to group gameplay statistics by profile, we send only a random, non-personal profile identifier that contains no part of the name (and stays the same even if you rename the profile). It is not used to identify you personally.
b. Information collected automatically
- Usage & gameplay data. We record in-game events such as starting and finishing a game, questions answered and how quickly, screens viewed, in-game "coins" earned or spent, ad interactions, the language you choose, and error reports. We use this to understand engagement and tune the game's difficulty.
- Device & technical information. Device and browser type, operating system and version, app version, and language/region settings, plus an approximate (city- or region-level) location derived from your IP address by our analytics provider. We do not collect precise or GPS location.
- A random device identifier. A randomly generated ID stored in your device's local storage lets us recognize the same device across sessions for analytics (for example, to measure whether players return). It is not tied to your real-world identity, contains no personal information, and we do not use cookies.
- Session replays. To find where players get stuck, our analytics provider may record an anonymized "replay" of on-screen interactions such as taps and navigation. All typed text — including any name you enter — is automatically masked and is not captured.
c. Information stored on your device
Your profiles (display name, avatar, coins, best scores, recent game history, Story-mode progress, and difficulty setting) are saved locally on your device using the operating system's standard storage. This information stays on your device and is not transmitted to us except as described above.
3.What we don't collect
We do not collect real names, email addresses, phone numbers, mailing addresses, precise/GPS location, contacts, photos, microphone or camera data, or payment and financial information. There is no account, login, or password. We do not track you across other apps or websites, and we do not sell or rent your information.
4.How we use information
- To provide, operate, and maintain the Game;
- To save and restore your progress on your device;
- To understand how the Game is used and to improve it, including tuning question difficulty and fixing problems;
- To display advertising so the Game can remain free;
- To keep the Game secure and to detect, prevent, and address abuse, fraud, or technical issues;
- To comply with legal obligations.
5.Advertising
The Game shows ads through Google AdMob. With your consent, ads may be personalized to your interests; without it, you still see ads, but non-personalized ones. Where required (for example in the EEA, the UK, and certain US states) we present Google's consent form, and on iOS we show Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt before any use of the advertising identifier (IDFA). You can decline — you will still see ads, just non-personalized — and you can change your choice at any time in your device settings. To deliver ads, cap how often you see them, and detect invalid activity, Google may process limited data such as device and ad-interaction information.
For more about how Google handles data, see Google's Privacy Policy and How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
6.Analytics & session replay
We use PostHog for product analytics and feature management to understand how the Game is used and to improve it. PostHog processes the usage and device information described in Section 2 on servers located in the United States, and acts as our data processor. A random device identifier and a random, non-personal profile identifier (not your display name) are included so we can group gameplay by profile.
As noted above, session replays capture on-screen interactions only, with all typed input masked. Autocapture and automatic page-view tracking are turned off — we record only the specific gameplay events we have chosen. To learn more about PostHog, see the PostHog Privacy Policy.
8.Children's privacy
Bolt's Adventures is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under the minimum age of consent in your country).
If you believe a child has provided us with personal information you would like removed, please contact us at linusholdingsllc@gmail.com and we will promptly delete it. You can also remove all on-device data at any time using the in-game Delete account option or by uninstalling the Game.
9.Data retention
Information saved on your device (profiles and progress) remains until you delete a profile in the Game or uninstall the App. Analytics information is retained by our provider for a limited period consistent with the purposes described in this Policy and is then deleted or aggregated. You may request deletion of analytics data associated with your device by contacting us.
10.Security
We and our service providers use reasonable technical and organizational measures — including encryption of data in transit — to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorized access. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your information and review our practices over time.
11.International data transfers
We are based in the United States, and our analytics and advertising providers process data on servers in the United States and other countries. If you use the Game from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to, stored in, and processed in the United States and other jurisdictions that may have different data-protection laws than your own. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers.
12.Your rights & choices
- Delete your data. Use Delete account in the Game's Player Settings to erase a profile stored on your device. Uninstalling the Game removes all on-device data.
- Advertising. You can choose non-personalized ads by declining the consent form and, on iOS, the App Tracking Transparency prompt. You can also reset your device's advertising identifier or turn off ad personalization in your device settings at any time.
- EEA/UK (GDPR). Subject to applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal data, to data portability, and to withdraw consent.
- California (CCPA/CPRA). You may have the right to know, delete, and correct personal information and to opt out of its "sale" or "sharing." We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined by law.
To make a request to delete your analytics data, email us at linusholdingsllc@gmail.com with your Analytics ID in the About & Credits section.
13.Changes to this policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the revised version on this page and update the "Last updated" date above. If the changes are significant, we may provide additional notice within the Game. Your continued use of the Game after an update means you accept the revised Policy.
